RPTS Career & Internship Fair

The 2019 RPTS Career & Internship Fair will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Memorial Student Center’s Bethancourt Ballroom, located on the Texas A&M University Campus.

This Career Fair presents an excellent opportunity for employers to meet with the outstanding undergraduate and graduate students of our department. Many of our students are seeking full-time, part-time, and internship positions within the fields of recreation, parks, tourism, hospitality, event management, community development and youth development. This is also a great opportunity to inform students about your organization and build industry connections.

In the RPTS department, undergraduate students focus their studies on one or more of the following emphasis areas: Tourism Management, Youth Development, Community Recreation & Park Administration, Event Management, Parks & Conservation, or Community Development (CDEV).

Many undergraduate students in RPTS and CDEV, will be seeking post-graduation positions. Each degree plan requires an internship of at least 400 hours of work (for 6 university credits) with a company or organization related to the student’s emphasis area. Positions used for internship credit may be paid or unpaid, and may be comprised of full-time work for one semester or part-time work for two or more semesters. Some of our 75 graduate students plan to attend the Career Fair as well to find internship and long-term employment opportunities related to tourism, park & natural resource management, youth development and related fields.
